Infusing dynamism and progressiveness in the organization, Rabiul Alam brings a renewed sense of hope and optimism into Shams Group of Companies to prosper in the days ahead.
Rabiul completed his Bachelor of Business degree with a double major in International Business and E-Business from University of Technology Sydney, Australia and also gained valuable work experience in the corporate environment in Sydney. After coming back to Bangladesh and joining Shams Group, he enrolled in North South University, Dhaka and completed his MBA in Management.
Returning from Australia in 2007, Rabiul joined Shams Group of Companies as the Director and plays a proactive role in the strategic planning, investment and other decision making process while having a hands-on approach in all aspects of the management and operation of its Shipping, Logistics and other business interests. He puts a great emphasis in standardizing the compliance and various policy issues in per with the global practices. As his role and involvement with the company grew over time, Rabiul was promoted to the post of Deputy Managing Director in January 2015.
While upholding the goodwill and reputation the organization has earned over the years, Rabiul have been working relentlessly to blend the old with the new, to create and lead a vibrant team in a progressive environment to transform Shams Group of Companies into a business organization that will transcend the boundaries and will continue to have a positive and responsible contribution in the society and the lives of people it touches.
For his outstanding leadership, management skills and with the vision to take the organization to newer heights, Rabiul was promoted to the post of Managing Director of Shams Group of Companies in February 2017.
Rabiul is an avid cricket fan. In his personal life, he is happily married to Sharina Afroz and they are proud parents to one son and twin daughters.
